In case you haven’t heard, digital ARCs of The Incident at Ingleton are now available on Netgalley. Like the other Beau Monde Secrets books, this closed-door Regency romance contains a mystery subplot. You don’t have to read the previous books in the series to enjoy The Incident at Ingleton, although some of the characters from the first book do make cameo appearances.

Rectangular graphic with a pinkish-gray background. In the center is a book cover with a purple background. Cover depicts a blooming tree, a small house, and a distant church spire. In the foreground, a white woman with black hair wearing a blue and white Regency gown holds hands with a blonde-haired, glasses-wearing white gentleman in dark blue Regency menswear. Letters in yellow spell out the title: “The Incident at Ingleton.” Below that, white letters spell out the author’s name: “Anne Rollins,” and smaller yellow letters below that read “Beau Monde Secrets.” The right-hand border of the cover reads “Dragonblade,” and pink blossoms line that border. White arrows point to text around the cover. White text reads, clockwise from top left, “class difference,” “antagonists to lovers,” “mystery subplot,” and “slow burn.”

Walter Haworth is an awkward young solicitor who manages his family’s charitable foundations. When someone embezzles money from the Haworth Home for Orphans, Walter looks into the matter. His investigation brings him to a small country village, where he meets Lady Hester Bracknell.

Having already besmirched her reputation, Hester can’t afford even the least hint of scandal. But circumstances keep bringing her into Walter’s path. She may be able to help him find the criminal, but does she dare risk her heart and her good name?
