Today The Incident at Ingleton is out in the world! You can find it on Kindle Unlimited, or in paperback at other retailers.

As always, my wish for this book is that it finds the right readers. I’m really happy to see that some of the early reviews on Goodreads specifically mention Hester’s migraines. I am always nervous about representing disability or neurodivergence, even when I’m writing from personal experience, so I’m glad to hear some readers have found the depiction of migraines to be realistic.
When I was Hester’s age, I experienced migraines more frequently than I do now, as a result of changes of weather, being out in the wind, sleep deprivation, etc. Today, my worst migraines are typically hormonal, hitting only once a month. I’d like to think that Hester, too, may have fewer migraines as she grows older!
Oh, and have I mentioned that male lead Walter Haworth wears spectacles? Apparently, having a male lead depicted on the cover actually wearing glasses is rarer than I realized. (Watch Mama Needs to Read Romance! and her viewers discuss historical romance covers and glasses here, starting about 1:51 minutes in.) I am far-sighted, and like Walter, I wear corrective lenses all the time. Eyeglasses are a normal part of life to me, and that’s how I wanted them to be for Walter.
Happy reading, Rollins fans!
